West Hartford synagogue to undergo $27M transformation into apartments following $1.6M sale
We’re proud to share that our Managing Broker, Dan Garofalo, successfully represented the buyer and the seller in a recent $1.6 million transaction!
This former West Hartford synagogue is set to be transformed into 49 apartments, a redevelopment initiative led by the West Hartford Housing Authority’s development arm Trout Brook Realty Advisors Inc. In his second deal with the housing authority’s development arm, Garofalo listed and represented the buyer of this 28,200 square foot property.
The redevelopment plan will include significant demolition resulting in 24 one-bedroom, 23 two-bedroom and two, three-bedroom apartments. Construction began at the end of December and is expected to be completed in Spring of 2026.
This transaction marks the second successful collaboration between Dan Garofalo, Reno Properties Group and Troutbrook Realty Advisors. Their first partnership, in 2021, involved a property on New Park Avenue; a church transformed into a 52-unit apartment complex now known as The Residences at 540 New Park.
